        Apart from the main festivals of Eid, Holi, Deewali and other festivals, which are celebrated, all over India, there are other festivals, which are celebrated locally and regionally in Maharashtra. Songs, dance and mouth watering cuisines accompany almost every festivals.
      As above the maharashtra is very big from the other state. And  It also has sites like the British Raj-era Gateway of India monument and cave temples at Elephanta Island.  And they are celebrate in one unity. 

  1. Ganesh Chaturthi :

  
      The ganesh chaturthi is celebrate in Maharashtra   for the honor of lord ganesh. Though it is celebrate in throughout the contry but it has particularly singnificance in Maharashtra. This was special for all hindus. The ganesh chaturthi is particularly celebrate in after the rainy season. 
    Because they have believed the lord ganesh has take the rain to seven.  A major ritual of the festival is the immersion of the genesh idols in water. This acts signifies the prominence of ganesh as the god that " alleviate all hindrance". The maharashtratrian lord ganesh is vighna harta.

2. Maharashtra Day :

      The first day of May is honoured as Maharashtra Day with much festivity. Maharashtra attained statehood on 1 May 1960 and every year the day is a state holiday and is celebrated with many colours, organized by the Government of Maharashtra.      This was celebrate for lobur of the maharashtra.  The mahastra is celebrate in all over the state. In this day for all labour declare is holiday. And all worker govt and private both are celebrate jointly.  Colourful processions, bands and marches organized by the Government are a wonderful sight to behold. 
           This was celebrate in 1 may in the year. And this festival is celebrate all worker in lots of fun and joyful.

     1. Baisakhi – Harvest Festival Of Punjab :
                   
    Baisakhi ranks among the popular festivals in India. It is a famous festival in the state of Punjab and is celebrated with huge fanfare and excitement.
The festival takes place along with the farming time when the Rabi crop is ready for harvesting. Baisakhi happens on the lucky day when the tenth Guru of the Sikhs, Guru Gobind Singh, founded the Khalsa Panth cult. It dates back to around three hundred years.
